The Night of Ideas (La Nuit des Idees) action has taken place in Dushanbe.

Organized by France’s embassy in Dushanbe, the event has focused on the theme “Being Alive.”  This theme puts the question of ecological balances and man's relationship with the world.

Guests from diverse backgrounds – students, businesspeople, creative personalities and diplomats – have gathered to exchange views on the theme.

A small exhibition of works by Tajik photographers has been organized on the sidelines of the event.

The Night of Ideas action was held in Tajikistan for the second time.

Last year’s Night of Ideas theme, “Facing Our Time,” explored questions related to the nature of our current political, social, and ecological moment, ways to effect change in response, and the power of imagination and creativity.

The Night of Ideas is an annual, worldwide event that celebrates the stream of ideas
between countries, cultures, and generations.
