Coronavirus-prevention staffs to be established at all ministries and agencies in Tajikistan

The republican coronavirus-prevention commission, headed by Deputy Prime Minister in charge of social issues, Ms. Shirin Ismatullozoda, met in Dushanbe yesterday, according to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection  (MoHSP) press center.  

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Ismatullozoda ordered to establish the coronavirus-prevention staffs at all ministries and agencies of the country.  

By the coronavirus-prevention commission’s order sanitary, quarantine and migration control has been toughened at all border crossing points (BCPs) and medical and quarantine posts provided with thermal scopes have been established at all BCPs.   

Tajik authorities have reportedly also taken measures to create stocks of drugs, sanitary-and-hygiene aids and food products.  

Speaking at the meeting, the Minister of Health and Social Protection Nasim Olimzoda noted that they were also taking measures of sanitary-and- hygiene nature in public places such as bazaars, mosques, etc.  

The republican coronavirus-prevention commission has been set up by order of President Emomali Rahmon and its members include heads of the Ministries of Health, Agriculture, Labor, Education  Labor and Foreign Affairs as well as Committees on Emergency Situations, TV and Radio-broadcasting, Tourism, Youth and top managers of Tajik Railways, airlines and airports.
