Preparations for Navrouz festival are in full swing in Khujand, which will host the main Navrouz celebrations this year.
12,000 people, including school pupils and university students, are involved in the Navrouz celebrations in Khujand, the capital of the northern province of Sughd.
The main Navrouz celebrations will take part at the Khujand Central Stadium, where a stage of 100 m² was built.
President Emomali Rahmon is expected to attend the Navrouz celebrations in Khujand.
“There will be solemn songs about Homeland, nation and development of society, abut women and mothers as well as about the successes and failures of the country,” known Tajik actress Sairam Isoyeva, who is member of the organizing committee told Asia-Plus in an interview.
