People ask the authorities to organize “green corridor” as they can no longer stay there – they have run out of money.

Nationals of Tajikistan and Russia, who cannot leave Tajikistan after the closure of borders due the coronavirus crisis, have been stranded at the border crossing point (BPC) Oibek for already four days, a source told Asia-Plus Friday (June 19) afternoon.

According to the source, some fifty cars and more than hundred people, including women and children, have been stranded on the border.

Some families with young children cannot withstand the hot weather and move back.

…There still no official comments from the Tajik authorities and the Russian Consulate in Khujand on how the issue is being resolved
