Kazakhstan plans to resume air service with a number of countries, including Tajikistan.

Citing Kazakhstan’s transportation chief sanitary inspection Sadvakas Baigabulov, Tengrinews.kz notes that the lists of countries of the first and second categories, with which Kazakhstan resume the air service, have been extended.

Hungary, India, Germany, the Czech Republic and Malaysia have been added to the list of countries of the first category.  This list had previously included China, South Korea, Georgia, Japan and Thailand.  There no restrictions for passengers arriving in Kazakhstan from the countries of the first category.

Turkey, Egypt, Ukraine, Poland, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan has been added to the list of countries of the second category.  Restrictions apply to passengers arriving in Kazakhstan from the countries of the second category, Tengrinews.kz said

“If a passenger from the country of the second category has a document certifying that he/she does not have any symptoms of a COVID-19 infection and if not more than five days have gone from the moment of receipt of the document to the crossing of the state border, a passenger will not face restrictions.  If a passenger does not have such a document, he/she will have to pass PCR-based test within two days or self-isolate for 14 days,” Baigabulov said.
