Tajikistan’s privately owned air company Somon Air is expected to operate a charter flight from Dushanbe to Minsk and return on September 10.

According to the Soon Air press center, persons holding Tajik citizenship (including students studying at Belarusian and Ukrainian universities) and foreign nationals holding the required documents to travel to, or transit into the territory Belarus may travel on the Dushanbe – Minsk service.

The flight departs from Dushanbe at 03:00 am, from Minsk – at 07:30 am local time.

Tajik citizens travelling from Minsk to Dushanbe must be registered.

Foreigners who wish to travel to Dushanbe must have a permit issued by a Tajik Authority before entering Tajikistan, as well as a visa (if required) and a certificate showing the negative result of COVID-19 test.

All passengers entering the Republic of Belarus from Tajikistan are reportedly free from a 14-day self-isolation, also a certificate of a negative result of COVID-19 infection is not required.

All passengers traveling to the Republic of Tajikistan are required to wear face masks and disposable gloves at the airport and on board.  Passengers with higher body temperature or symptoms of illness will not to be permitted aboard.  According to the instructions of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, Tajik passengers must hold a certificate of a negative COVID-19 test according to PCR method, made no earlier than 96 hours (4 days) prior to arrival in Tajikistan. Children under 3 years are exempted from providing any Covid-19 certificate.  Tajik citizens holding a negative COVID-19 certificate are exempted from further mandatory testing and quarantine after arrival in Tajikistan.

Somon Air is the first private airline in Tajikistan with an office headquartered in Dushanbe.  The airline operations are based at Dushanbe International Airport.  The airline started operating on February 5, 2008 with regular flights to Moscow and Dubai.  Somon Air also serves as the official carrier of President of the Republic of Tajikistan and other Tajikistan high-ranking officials.
