For these purposes, the bank will send $ 1.5 million at no cost.

Asian Development Bank to provide a grant for the supply and installation of a weather radar to protect agriculture from hail in Tajikistan, the permanent mission of ADB in Dushanbe reports.

The Committee for Emergency Situations of the Republic signed a contract in the amount of $ 1.5 million with the Kazakh company KC-group, which was selected in the process of open competitive bidding by ADB.

This contract is part of the National Disaster Risk Management Project funded by an ADB grant of $ 10 million.

New meteorological radar will enter service in March 2021. It will replace four existing radars, installed more than 25 years ago, and will increase the accuracy of detection of meteorological phenomena by the Haunting Service at the CoES.
