10 thousand volunteers in all cities and regions of Tajikistan will be involved in the presidential elections. Of these, 250 people, fluent in Tajik, Russian and English, will help international observers.

Deputy Head of the Committee Dilnoza Ahmadzoda said this on September 18 at a joint meeting of the Committee of Youth and Sports and the Central Election Commission of Tajikistan, NIAT "Khovar" reports.

«Today, volunteer work in the country is well organized, volunteers take part in almost all political, cultural and entertainment, scientific and educational, mass sports, including international events of the country», – Ahmadzoda said.

Committee specialist Azimjon Juraev noted that volunteers will also take part in preparations for the elections.

In particular, they will assist in drawing up voter lists and registering them, distributing information materials, organizing meetings with the public, as well as accompanying international observers, etc.
