Tajikistan opens its borders to Afghan students studying in the republic.

This was announced on September 23 by the Ambassador of Afghanistan to Dushanbe Muhammad Zohir Agbar at the solemn ceremony of the celebration of the "Week of Martyrs" in the Afghan embassy.

"Week of Martyrs" is celebrated in honor of the national hero of Afghanistan Ahmad Shah Massoud and those who died in the battles for the country.

According to the diplomat, Tajikistan will allow Afghan students to enter the country from September 24.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan confirmed this and reported that the entry for students is organized in compliance with all the requirements of the Republican Headquarters, aimed against the spread of coronavirus.

The Ministry of Health also said that all the necessary measures would be followed.

According to the Union of Afghan Students, almost 450 Afghan students study at different levels of education in Tajikistan, of which 195 are awaiting permission to enter the country to continue their studies.
