A regular meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission of the two countries on trade, economic, socio-cultural cooperation is scheduled in Dushanbe on September 28-29.

The intergovernmental commission is co-chaired by the Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda and his Uzbek counterpart Abdulla Aripov.

The main topics of the meeting will be the opening of borders and the resumption of flights between the two states, which were closed in mid-March due to the spread of coronavirus infection.

At the meeting, the parties also intend to discuss ways to increase bilateral trade, promising investment projects, expanding ties in the field of transport and communications, relations between regions.
