Uzbek statistics show trade turnover $ 100 million more than Tajik.

The total volume of Tajik-Uzbek trade for eight months of this year amounted to $ 317 million, reported by the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

It is noted that the size of Uzbekistan's exports to Tajikistan amounted to $ 255.1 million, and the import of Tajik products was made in the amount of $ 61.9 million.

Meanwhile, according to the Statistics Agency under the President of Tajikistan, the total volume of Tajik-Uzbek trade in January-August amounted to $ 217 million.

In particular, Tajik products worth $ 52.9 million were exported to the neighboring country, Uzbek goods worth $ 164.6 million were imported.

The Tajik department notes that the trade turnover between the two countries decreased by 6.1% compared to the same period last year.

Note that a decrease in Tajik-Uzbek trade turnover was recorded for the first time in the past few years: over the past five years, trade between these two countries has grown almost 13 times: from $ 13 million in 2014 to $ 362 million in 2019.
