On Friday October 16, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Muzaffar Huseinzoda. received copies of credentials of newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Michel Tarran.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and France and the outcomes of the official visit of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to France on November 7-12, 2019, according to the Tajik MFA information department.  

The two reportedly emphasized the importance of organization of joint scheduled activities after the normalization of epidemiological situation in the world.

Mr. Michel Tarran replaced Mrs. Yasmine Gouedard, who had served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Tajikistan since September 2016.  Her tenure to Tajikistan ended in late September this year.
