Tajik manufacturers have presented their products at an international import exhibition that is taking place in Shanghai from November 4 through November 10.

Heads of some countries participated in an opening ceremony of the China International Import Exhibition (CIIE) that was held in the digital video-conference format, according to the press center of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MoEDT) of Tajikistan.

Tajikistan was reportedly represented by the Minster of Economic Development and Trade Zavqi Zavqizoda.

More than 150 countries of the world reportedly have reportedly participated in the exhibition.

More than 500 companies have displayed their products at the fair.

The CIIE, an event to be held on an annual basis, features good performance, good results, and continued success in the years to come.

As the world's first national-level import exposition, the CIIE provides a platform for companies to display their products, popularize their brands, and find more business partners in the world's second-largest economy.

China is one of the main strategic partners of Tajikistan.  According to data of Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan, a two-way trade between Tajikistan and China in January-September 2020 has valued at 342.4 million U.S. dollars.  In 2019, the bilateral trade between Tajikistan and China valued at 660.9 million U.S. dollars.
