New judo champions revealed in Tajikistan

Judo Championship of Tajikistan ended at the Palace of Tennis and Water Sports in Dushanbe. The best judokas from all regions of the country took part in the tournament.

In the men's competition, gold medals were won:

Abumuslim Kayumzoda (60 kg, Dushanbe),

Bakhrom Sufiev (66 kg, Khatlon-2),

Muhammadsharif Najmiddinov (73 kg, Dushanbe),

Khaknazar Nazarov (80 kg, hydraulic fracturing),

Jahongir Majidov (90 kg, Dushanbe),

Firdavs Nasimov (100 kg, Dushanbe)

Khurshed Majidov (over 100 kg, Dushanbe).

Women competed for medals in two weight categories. Akhliya Muminova (57 kg, Dushanbe) and Shohida Kalandarova (70 kg, Dushanbe) became the winners of the championship.

According to the National Olympic Committee, more than 200 athletes took part in the championship as part of the teams of Dushanbe, Khatlon, Sogd, GBAO and RRS.

The Dushanbe team won the overall team competition, winning 27 medals (8 "gold" and "silver", 11 bronze medals).
