One more electrical substation has been introduced into operation in the northern Sughd province.

The substation has been built in the Haidar Usmonov jamoat in Bobojon-Ghafourov district and an official opening ceremony of the substation was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister Davlatali Said and Sughd Governor Rajabboy Ahmadzoda.

The substation with capacity of 15000 KVA has been built to provide stable and qualitative power supply to residential customers in the Haidar Usmonov jamoat.

Speaking at the substation-opening ceremony, Davlatali Said and Rajabboy Ahmadzoda, in particular, noted that rational use of electricity by residential customers would allow providing a regular supply of electricity to the population as well as economic and social facilities in the area.

Electrical substation is a part of an electrical generation, transmission, and distribution system.  Substations transform voltage from high to low, or the reverse, or perform any of several other important functions.  Between the generating station and consumer, electric power may flow through several substations at different voltage levels.  A substation may include transformers to change voltage levels between high transmission voltages and lower distribution voltages, or at the interconnection of two different transmission voltages.
