Eight million somonis (TJS) intended for construction of other facilities have been directed to construction of the infectious diseases hospital in Danghara.

The head of the Khatlon Main Construction Directorate, Abduvohid Sadullozoda, remarked this at a news conference in Bokhtar, the capital of Khatlon province, on February 10.

“Construction of the infectious diseases hospital with 80 beds is going on in Danghara district.  But taking into consideration the coronavirus situation, Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda has ordered to adjust the project and increase the Danghara hospital bed capacity by 150 percent to 200 beds,” said Sadullozoda.  “Therefore, we have been forced to spend TJS8 million intended for construction of other facilities for construction of the infectious hospital in Danghara.”

According to him, a new financial plan for construction of those facilities has been submitted for consideration to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

“We hope that the central budget will allocate money to complete construction of these facilities,” the Khatlon Main Construction Directorate head added.
