The Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) Tajikgidroelektromontazh (Tajik hydroelectric installation) will construct an electrical equipment manufacturing enterprise in Dushanbe.

An investment agreement on this subject between the company and the Government of Tajikistan was inked on February 19, says the press center of the State Committee on Investment and State-owned Property Management (GosKomInvest).

The enterprise is expected to be built on an area of 7 hectares and an estimated budget for this project is 5 million U.S. dollars.  The electrical equipment manufacturing enterprise is expected to create 200 new jobs.

The GosKomInvest press center notes that implementation of this project will promote development of the country’s exports and industrialization of Tajikistan.  

OJSC Tajikgidroelektromontazh has been established on the basis of Tajik Installation Directorate Gidromontazh, which had been a part of the Leningrad-based All-Union Trust.

One of the main directions of Tajikgidroelektromontazh activities is a full range of works on the design, assembly, supply, installation and commissioning of electrical equipment with the commissioning of the facility on a turnkey basis.

Besides, the company is engaged in the construction of hydraulic structures, industrial complexes, buildings, pipelines, as well as quarrying and cargo shipment.  

The company has its own design institute Energosetproekt (power grid design).
