The Hydrometeorology Agency of Tajikistan (Hydromet) says there will be hot in Tajikistan within the next few days.

During the period from June 3 to June 5, the air temperature in the plains of Tajikistan will rise up to +41ºC and in southern regions (Vakhsh Valley of Khatlon province) up to +45ºC.

Besides, the wind will increase up to 15-20 meters per second in some districts of Khatlon and Sughd provinces and it will be dusty in those areas.

In Dushanbe, the air temperature is expected to rise to +40ºC during this period.

The Emergencies Committee under the Government of Tajikistan says hot weather have increased the risk of mudflows in mountain areas of the districts subordinate to the center, Sughd and Khatlon provinces and in the western part of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) during the period from June 2 to June 4.
