According to some sources, a doctor from abroad has been invited to treat the Minister of Industry and New Technologies Sherali Kabir.  He has reportedly had bilateral pneumonia with symptoms of coronavirus for already two weeks.  

“A doctor from abroad has been invited to treat him and he has assessed Sherali’s condition as good for today,” one of the minister’s relatives told Asia-Plus Monday (July 5) afternoon. 

According to him, the doctor says Sherali Kabir has overcome the crisis period of the disease and now there is no serious threat to his health.

“God willing, he will be discharged home in two or three days,” the source said. 

Sherali Kabir has reportedly been undergoing medical treatment at the Institute of Gastroenterology for more than two weeks.  

Sherali Kabir’s relatives say he had been on a ventilator for several days and he was disconnected from the ventilator on July 1.  

Sherali Kabir is one of the most successful top managers he had headed the Board of Directors of the Tajik Aluminum Company (TALCO) until November last year.  By president’s decree he was appointed the Minister of Industry and New Technologies.
