Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin attended and delivered a speech at the UN Summit on Food Systems, the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan reports.

This high-level event served as an important platform for attracting more attention of heads of state and government, as well as regional geographic groups to fulfill their commitments to implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in particular, in the field of food security, the report says.

In his speech, the head of the country's foreign policy department, emphasizing the importance of developing agriculture through the use of new technologies in order to reduce the negative impact of various environmental factors and the introduction of a green economy, informed the Summit participants about the priority areas of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan until 2030, in particular on food security.
