The Council of the Lower House of the Parliament of Tajikistan on October 18 discussed the issue of ratification of the Agreement between the governments of Tajikistan and China on the provision of irrevocable aid, signed in July this year.

The agreement provides for the provision of gratuitous aid to Tajikistan in the amount of 800 million Chinese yuan (almost $ 125 million). During the construction of the facility, it is planned to build two tunnels, 5.2 km long, 67 spillways of various diameters, 5 protective corridors, 490 m long, 15 bridges, 634 m long, 180 artificial containment walls, 21.8 km long, 54 km of protective walls , 13 open ditches, 1.8 km long.
