The Royal Islamic Center for Strategic Studies in Amman, with the support of the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding in Georgetown, has prepared another rating of the 500 most influential Muslims in the world. The study has been published annually since 2009.

The Muslim 500-2021 rating, which was published today, October 19, included the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon for the seventh time, the head of the Council of Ulema of Tajikistan Sayidmukarram Abdulkodirzoda, as well as the spiritual leader of the Ismailis of the world Shoh Karim Al-Husaini, some of whose followers live in Tajikistan.

Shoh Karim Al-Husaini is in the TOP-50 (on the 30th line), and Emomali Rahmon and Sayidmukarram Abdulkodirzoda are in the list of the next 450 persons, which also includes the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Turkmenistan – Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chechnya – Ramzan Kadyrov, Mufti of Uzbekistan Usman Alimov.

Leading the 500 most influential Muslims in the world this year Emir of Qatar Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, King of Saudi Arabia Salman ibn Abdul-Aziz and Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei – Iran's top leader from 1989 to the present.
