Representatives of more than 200 companies from Tajikistan, Russia and Uzbekistan have participated in the 7th International Fair, dubbed  Sughd-2021.

Representatives of companies from Russia’s Buryatia, Lipetsk, Tver, Samara, Voronezh and Toms oblasts as well as Uzbekistan’s Tashkent, Samarkand, Ferghana and Namangan regions have participated in the event.

Tajikistan has been represented by companies from the provinces.

The companies reportedly put on display their achievements in industrial sector and modern technologies at the fair that took place in the Tajik northern city of Khujand on October 20.

Inaugurating the fair, Sughd governor Rajabboy Ahmadzoda noted that Sughd province had a huge untapped potential and the fair gave the business communities of the countries an opportunity to exchange information and take new effective steps to further expand mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation.

“Last year alone, Sughd produced a total of more than US$1.5 billion worth of industrial goods,” Ahmadzoda noted.
