The exchange rate of the Tajik national currency, the somoni (TJS), against the Russian ruble (RR) ha risen.

According to an official exchange rate set by the National Bank of Tajikistan on November 23, RR has lost almost 1.8 percent in its value against TJS.

The exchange rate of RR against TJS dropped from 1:01533 on November 22 to 1:0.1506 on November 23.  

Over the past two weeks, RR has reportedly lost 5.3 percent in its value against TJS — the exchange rate of RR against TJS dropped from 1:01591 on November 9 to 1:0.1506 on November 23.   .

Meanwhile, the official exchange rate of the somoni against the U.S. dollar has remained practically unchanged over the reporting period – 11.29:1 

The official exchange rate is the rate of exchange announced by a country's foreign exchange administration, usually used by countries with strict foreign exchange controls.

The market exchange rate refers to the real exchange rate for trading foreign exchange in the free market.
