A source close to the investigation says the brawl occurred over phone charger.

The Interior Ministry’s press center has confirmed what happened.

“We have not yet information about the victims of the conflict.  The Panjakent prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation into the incident.  The cause of the incident is still under investigation and the identity of the participants in the incident is being established,” representative of the Interior Ministry press center told Asia-Plus Monday afternoon.

According to some sources, one of those killed in the brawl was a student of the Panjakent vocational and technical school.

The vocational and technical school director confirmed this information.  “Indeed, one of those killed in the brawl was our student, a 17-year-old Inoyatullo Yorov.  On Saturday, he went to his native village of Mughiyon and he was supposed to come back on Monday but he did not come.  We knew about the incident when we were summoned to the prosecutor’s office for questioning.   The cause of the brawl is r unknown to us,” the director said.

According to him, two other killed in the brawl are brothers from Panjakent’s Sughdiyon district.
