An official exchange rate of the Russian ruble (RR) against the Tajik national currency (TJS) set by the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) has begun declining in Tajikistan.

Thus, the official exchange rate of RR against TJS decline from 1:01715 set by Tajikistan’s financial regulator o April 11 to 1:01552 set on April 12.  

Meanwhile, the market exchange rate of the Russian ruble against the somoni varies greatly from commercial bank to commercial bank.

Thus, the buying exchange rate of RR against TJS set on April 12 in Amonatbonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank) exchange offices is set at 1:0.1360, while in exchange offices of The FirstMicroFinanceBank of Tajikistan the buying exchange rate of RR against TJS  fo that date was 1:1565.

On April 12, the average buying exchange rate of RR against TJSin commercial bank exchange offices was 1:0.1462.

On the same day., the current selling exchange rate of RR against TJS in Amonatbonk exchange offices was 1:0.1370, while in exchange offices of the Kommertz Bank of Tajikistan the selling exchange rate of RR against TJS on April 12 was 1:0.1660

On April 12, the average selling exchange rate of RR against TJSin commercial bank exchange offices was 1:0.11515.
