Tajikistan is listed among top ten countries in terms of their nationals entering Russian universities. 

RBC says that among those top ten countries are also Belarus, Abkhazia, the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Lugansk People’s Republic, Moldova, as well as China, India, Iran, and Vietnam. 

Thus, 604 of students who entered the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation are nationals Abkhazia, Tajikistan, Belarus, Mongolia, China and Haiti.  

Citing the press center of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), RBC says nationals of 29 countries, including China, Congo, Israel, Turkey, Iran and Pakistan, have applied for admission to the Academy this year.  

This year, the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration has reportedly allocated the quota for 300 foreign students.

The Peoples' Friendship University of Russia Rector Oleg Yastrebov told RBC that this year, they have received the largest number of university admission applications from China, Vietnam, Iran, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan.

Besides, 58 students from the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Lugansk People’s Republic and Ukraine have recommended for admission to the university. 

The Moscow State University Rector Viktor Sadovnichiy has been quoted as saying that more than 80 percent of foreign students entering the university are nationals of Eastern, Central and Western Asia.

Rector of Russian University of Economics named after G.V. Plekhanov, Ivan Lebanon, has been cited as saying that the majority of foreign students studying in the university are nationals are of Vietnam, Ukraine (including the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Lugansk People’s Republic), Tajikistan and Belarus.
