The Ministry of Education assures that the shortage of teachers has decreased.

According to preliminary data, more than 200 thousand children will go to the first grade in schools in Tajikistan this year. This is reported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the country..

In 2021, for the first time, 240 thousand children sat down at school desks in the republic.

According to the source, there are currently 3,940 general education institutions operating in the country, where almost 129 thousand teachers teach.

Recall that on July 19 this year, the Minister of Education and Science of the country, Rakhim Saidzoda, said at a press conference that as of May 1, 2022, there are not enough 3,400 teaching staff in secondary schools in Tajikistan.

However, less than a month later – on August 8 – as a result of the creation of the headquarters of the Ministry of Education and Science to provide schools with teachers, which began work on July 12, the need for teachers decreased. And now only 544 teachers are missing in schools.
