A film by Tajik director Bakhtiyor Khudoynazanov “Bratan” (Bro), filmed in 1991 in Tajikistan, was included in the program of the Venice Classics of the 79th Venice International Festival, which will be held from August 31 to September 10 in Lido (Italy), reports NIAT "Khovar".

The film will be shown among 19 masterpieces of the past in the “Venice Classics” section of the film festival.

The film “Bratan” will be presented by the head of the German company Veit Helmer-Filmproduktion, which was involved in its restoration, Veit Helmer and the former wife of Khudoynazarov, program director of the “Kinotavr” festival Sitora Aliyeva.

After the film festival, the film is planned to be shown at the Lumiere Festival in Lyon, which is supervised by the director of the Cannes Film Festival Thierry Fremaux, and then at screenings in Sao Paolo and Panama.
