The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, on behalf of the Kazakh people and on his own behalf, expressed condolences to the head of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in connection with the loss of life as a result of the aggravation of the situation on the Tajik-Kyrgyz border.

«It is with great concern that we perceive these tragic events in the states that are fraternal and close to us. Kazakhstan is firmly in favor of resolving any contentious issues in the region exclusively by peaceful means and by political and diplomatic methods», – telegram says.

The President of Kazakhstan expressed words of sympathy, support to the families and friends of the victims, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to all the victims.
