On September 30, 2022, the Western Union payment system operator received a license to operate in Tajikistan, the National Bank of the country reported. The operator was given a license for a period of 5 years.
Recall that on March 24, 2022, Western Union stopped its work in Tajikistan due to the expiration of the license.
According to the NBT website, there are only 11 payment system operators in Tajikistan. Of these – 4 domestic and 7 – international.
Domestic payment systems: Korti Milli, Oson, Atlaspay, ExpressPay.
International payment systems: Western union, Visa, Mastercard, CONTACT, BEST, Unistream, MoneyGram.
