Commemoration ceremony of Hafez Shirazi as glowing star of the sonnet and Persian poetry has been held in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe, IRNA reported on October 16.  . 

Iranian Ambassador to Tajikistan Mohammad Taghi Saberi in the commemoration ceremony of Hafez Shirazi in Dushanbe reportedly termed Hafez Shirazi as a poet who has had great influence on the Persian-speaking people and a poet who belongs to all centuries

“On the day of commemoration of Hafez Shirazi, we honor the language of the mysterious and to all the fans of this eloquent, thoughtful poet whose poetic and romantic words, after seven centuries, are fresh and unrepeatable and soulful and soul-enhancing, to all the Persian speakers of the world, especially the people of Iran and Tajikistan,” Ambassador Saberi was cited as saying.

Ambassador Saberi in his remarks termed Hafez Shirazi as the brightest star of Persian culture and over several centuries until today, adding that many have found the description of their current situation in Hafez Shirazi's poems.

October 12 is designated as Hafez Day in Iran to commemorate Shams al-Din Mohammad Hafez-e Shirazi, better known as ‘Hafez’, the 14th-century lyric poet of Persian classical literature.

The mausoleum of Hafez Shirazi, commonly known as Hafezieh, is located in Shiraz, Fars Province. Every Year, a number of Iranian scholars, poets, and literati gather in his mausoleum to mark the National Day of Hafez.
