As part of his working visit to the Republic Korea, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin on October 25 met in Busan with his Korean counterpart Park Jin. 

According to the Tajik MFA information department, the parties discussed issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea.  

The parties reportedly stressed the further expansion of trade, economic, investment, scientific and technical relations and the expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation. 

Sectors like industry, energy, and tourism as areas were outlined as areas, which could drive the bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Korea.

Muhriddin and Park reportedly also discussed issues related to cooperation in the field of labor migration and interaction between the two countries within international and regional organizations.

On the same day, Muhriddin met in Busan with Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon.

During the meeting, the two discussed cooperation between the relevant authorities of the two countries, the experience of municipal government and the establishment of sister city relations.
