Kazakhstan will provide Tajikistan with satellite communications service, Kazinform reports.

Kazakhstan’s Republican Center for Space Communications (RCSC) and Tajik telecom company Net Solutions have signed an agreement on providing satellite communications services to Tajikistan via KazSat-3 satellite.

The document was inked by Mr. Vassiliy Leonov, Deputy Chair of RCSC’s Management Board and Mr. Bakhtovar Abdusattorov, CEO of Net Solutions, on December 13.

Under this agreement, KazSat-3 will be ready to provide its communication channels to customers in Tajikistan in 2023.

Leonov reportedly noted that the country’s satellite system is able to provide communications services not only within national borders but also to the neighboring nations as well.

In this regard, Tajikistan is the latest addition to the cooperation that has already been established with Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

In the future, the Center plans to further expand in the international market for satellite communications services in Central Asian nations.

Kazakhstan now has a national satellite communications and broadcasting system KazSat, consisting of two satellites and space communications centers Akkol and Kokterek.
