Currently, snowfall continues on the Dushanbe-Chanak road, but the road is open. This is reported by the branch of the IRS company in Tajikistan.

"Despite the snowfall, the road remains open for the movement of all types of vehicles. Measures are being taken to clear the road and treat with anti-slip agents", – the company said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the Committee for Emergency Situations of the Republic, referring to weather forecasters' data on the deterioration of weather conditions from January 7 to 12, reports that snow is expected to occur on roads, mainly on passes.

"On sections of the roads Dushanbe-Khujand, Dushanbe-Rasht-Lyakhsh, Dushanbe-Sangvor, Dushanbe-Shokhin-Darvaz-Khorog, Khorog-Ishkashim, Khorog-Murghab, icy conditions are expected, in some places snow drifts, and a high degree of danger of snow avalanches and rockfalls remains", – noted in the message of the CoES.
