“Persons having a high salary receive a decent pension.  No restrictions have been imposed on receiving a high pension in the country since 2017.  To determine the size of pension, an electronic program has been launched in the country,” Davlatzoda said.

Referring to the fact that salaries of public servants increase from year to year, he noted that now there are public servants who receive a pension in the amount of TJS17,000 — TJS18,000 and more.  “In some sectors, pensions reach even 27,000 somonis,” he noted.

Davlatzoda refrained from naming such persons, just noting that they are representatives of financial and communications sectors, entrepreneurs and some former statesman.

Meanwhile, current average size of pension in Tajikistan 323.72 somonis; current average size of retirement pension is 395.39 somonis, average size of insurance pension – 311.09 somonis and average size of social pension – 213.37 somonis.

According to him, 257.7 million somonis are needed per month for payment of pensions in the country, which is 5,3 million somonis or 2.1 percent more than a year before.

Currently there are no arrears in the payment of pensions in the country, Davlatzoda added.
