Over the first four months of this year, Tajikistan has produced a total of 13.1247 million somonis’ worth of industrial goods, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.  

Compared to the same period last year, the index of the volume of production of industrial goods in January-April this year has amounted to 105.5 percent.

Over the reporting period, the shares of industry’s sectors in the total volume of productions were: mining industry- 17.4 percent (US$2.2772 million); processing industry – 58.4 percent (7.6654 million somonis); electricity, natural gas and steam supplies – 23.8 percent (3.1223 somonis); and water supply and recycling and obtaining secondary raw materials – 0.4 percent (59,800 somonis). 

In January-April this year, in the territorial cross section the shares in the total volume of industrial production were: Sughd province – 58.3 percent; Khatlon province – 23 percent; Dushanbe City – 9.9 percent; districts subordinate to the center (RRP) – 8.5 percent; and the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) – 0.3 percent.
