Tajik President Emomali Rahmon is expected to visit Turkmenistan’s capital, Ashgabat, in early August, where a tripartite summit will take place with the participation of President Emomali Rahmon, Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedow, and Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, according to the Tajik MFA information department.  

The preparations for the summit were reportedly discussed yesterday by Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, and Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov at a meeting through video conferencing. 

The parties, in particular, discussed the draft program, the agenda of the upcoming meeting, as well as the draft final document of the three leaders’ summit.   d.

In this contest, the Ministers exchanged views on priority aspects of regional cooperation, the Tajik MFA information department said.
