The official opening of Palestinian Embassy in Tajikistan will take place in Dushanbe at 17:00 today, the press service of the President of Tajikistan reports.

The Palestinian Embassy will be located on L. Tolstoy Street, 2 in I. Somoni district.

Previously, the functions of the Embassy of Palestine in Tajikistan were assigned to the diplomatic mission of this country in Tashkent.

President Emomali Rahmon today met with Palestinian Foreign Minister Riez Al-Malik, who is in Dushanbe on a visit.

At the meeting, the Head of state noted the importance of this initiative in cooperation between the two countries.

He stressed the importance of developing bilateral relations, strengthening and expanding cooperation in various fields.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on March 6, 1992. Currently, the parties are considering 7 draft agreements on cooperation in various fields.
