China’s Embassy in Dushanbe organized an education exhibition at the National Library of Tajikistan in Dushanbe yesterday afternoon. 

More than 30 Chinese universities reportedly participated in the event.  Issues related to expansion of cooperation between universities of the two countries and exchange of experience in the field of education were discussed at the exhibition.

The parties signed a number of cooperation documents on the sidelines of the event.  Besides, an awarding ceremony for Tajik graduates of 12 universities in China’s province of Shanxi reportedly took place at the National Library yesterday.

“The number of the issued student visas to study in China has increased by 20 percent,” an official source within the Chinese Embassy in Dushanbe told Asia-Plus in an interview.  

According to him, the procedures of obtaining a visa and personnel exchange have been significantly simplified.
