The issue of the establishment the Banking Academy in Tajikistan has been discussed in Dushanbe.  

On October 2, the Deputy Chairperson of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), Ms. Gulbahor Nazir, met here with Mr. Branko Weibert, Expert at the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation (DSK), according to the NBT press center.

Ms. Inna Mazur, DSK Country Representative, and Mr. Dilovar Rahimov, Local Long Term Expert, also attended the meeting.   

In the course of the talks, Mr. Weibert, reportedly confirmed DSK’s interest for cooperation with the NBT and expressed readiness to discuss issues related to financing, structure and activities of the future Academy.  

Ms. Nazir, for her, part, expressed gratitude to the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation for collaboration and support provided for implementation of a number of projects, including the National Financial Inclusion Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan.   

The German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation is the development-policy arm of the Sparkassen Finance Group. Its task is to disseminate the successful Sparkasse model across regional borders and around the globe.  By enabling people in developing countries and emerging economies to access financial services, it aims to create opportunities that will allow them to leave poverty behind.
