The amount of targeted social aid for needy families in Tajikistan to be raised from TJS 612 to TJS680

Beginning on January 1 next year, the one-time amount of targeted aid for needy families and persons will be raised by 11.1 percent, from current 612.00 somonis (equal to 56.00 US dollars) to 680.00 somonis (equal to 62.00 US dollars) ten calculating indicators).

The procedure for assignment, financing and payment of targeted social aid for needy families and persons says, “Beginning on January 1, 2024, the amount of the targeted social aid for needy family and person for twelve months will be equal to ten calculating indicators.”

Current calculating indicator (estimate is equal to 68.00 somonis).  

Besides, the amount of additional payments for each child under 16 years old will be raised from 34.00 somonis (equivalent to half calculating indicator) to 68.00 somonis (equivalent to one calculating indicator).

The last time the amount of social benefits for needy families, taking into account the number of children under 16 years of age, each of whom is assigned additional payments, was raised on July1 this year.

Before that, needy families and persons were receiving 544.00 somonis in one-time targeted social aid and no additional payments were provided for children under 16 years old.
