The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan released a statement on April 2, in which it strongly condemns the airstrike on the consular mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus, Syrian Arab Republic, which resulted in the death and injury of several people.

“We consider such actions, which are a violation of international law, in particular the Vienna Conventions, to be absolutely inadmissible and unacceptable,” says the statement.

The Russian Federation said yesterday that a suspected Israeli air strike against the Iranian consulate in Damascus was an act of aggression, and called on Israel to cease such "absolutely unacceptable" actions.

IRNA reports that in an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, most representatives except westerners and few of their allies have condemned the Israeli regime for its deadly airstrike on the consular section of the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, warning that the regime's action could cause further unrest and chaos in the region.
