On August 13, 2024, Qozidavlat Qoimdodov, Resident Representative of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in Tajikistan, met with the Asian Development Bank (Climate Change Mission) representatives.

Sides discussed mutual cooperation between AKDN and ADB in Tajikistan, including ADB's Regional Climate Change Strategy for Central and West Asia and the proposed Climate Action Plan for Tajikistan. During the conversation, key points included issues of glacier conservation and the impact of glacier melting on the environment, agriculture, community innovation, health care, education, etc.

The AKDN leadership emphasized close cooperation in this area with the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Agency for Hydrometeorology
