This transmission line involves the supply of electricity from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to Afghanistan and Pakistan.

At the meeting, which took place during the working visit of the heads of the Ministry of Energy of the two countries in Kazakhstan, the parties planned to organize events to test the work performed on the territory of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

Overhead lines, transformers and substations between the two countries will be tested. "After thorough testing and error correction, a full-fledged launch will take place," the Energy Department of the Kyrgyz Republic noted.

It is reported that the CASA1000 project is currently being implemented in Kyrgyzstan.

"The construction of a 500 kV overhead line with a length of 456 kilometers is in full swing. In particular, the construction of a cell at the 500 kV Datka substation has been completed by 100%. The installation of the supports is 100% complete, the laying of the high-voltage line is completed for 428 km out of 456 km. It is planned that the construction work will be fully completed by the end of August 2024," the message explains.

The Minister expressed hope that the creation of the necessary infrastructure in Afghanistan will be completed by the end of next year. "This will allow us to launch the project in early 2026," he said.
