One of the luminaries of Tajik cinematography, famous director, photographer Zaur Dahte died today as a result of an accident in the Varzob district.

According to his relatives, Zaur Rustamovich himself was driving the car. He was moving from Khujand towards Dushanbe, and on the 33 km of the DushanbeChanak highway he collided with a gas truck.

His wife and daughter were also in the car, they were not seriously injured and were taken to the hospital.

Farewell to Zaur Dahte will take place tomorrow in Dushanbe at 12:00 at 73/3 N.Makhsum Street.

Three days later, on August 18, he would have turned 88.
