The export of various goods and products, dried fruits and minerals to Thailand and the import of electronic equipment, machinery and devices from Thailand into Tajikistan were named as other areas of fruitful cooperation between the two countries.

In the course of the talks, much attention was reportedly paid to the development of a "Roadmap", the organization of direct air flights, the introduction of a visa-free system for citizens and the development of tourist ties.

The parties also exchanged views on expansion of cooperation in the field of education and holding cultural days.

They also noted the role of inter-parliamentary relations in expanding bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Thailand.

At the end of the meeting, the President of our country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, invited Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra to visit Tajikistan on an official visit at her convenience.

Tajikistan and Thailand have enjoyed close and cordial relations since the establishment of the diplomatic relations in 1992, with both countries having celebrated the 30th anniversary in 2022.  Tajikistan stands as Thailand's potential partner in Central Asia in terms of the numbers of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and agreements signed between the two nations, and has great prospective in trade and investment, especially in renewable energy and mining sector.
