Tajikistan is participating in one of the largest international exhibitions, the "International Green Week 2025" (IGW), held in Berlin from January 17 to 26.  According to the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), the national stand showcases environmentally friendly products, traditional crafts, and the country’s investment opportunities.

An official source at a MoA says Tajikistan is actively promoting eco-friendly products and investment opportunities on the global stage by taking part in the International Green Week 2025, which runs from January 17 to 26 in Berlin.

The organization of the national stand reportedly became possible through the efforts of the MoA of Tajikistan, in collaboration with Tajikistan’s Embassy in Berlin.

The stand features dried fruits, fresh fruits, honey, juices, food and light industry products, as well as decorative items and materials that highlight the potential of Tajikistan’s agricultural sector and the country's tourism opportunities.  Visitors to the exhibition are invited to explore crafts, traditional goods, and innovative approaches that reflect sustainable agricultural development in the republic.

As one participant noted, Tajikistan aims not only to promote its products but also to strengthen its image as a country rich in cultural and natural heritage, which is vividly reflected in the exhibition stand.

As part of the event, the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture was held from January 15 to 18, with representatives from more than 60 countries participating.  This year, the forum reportedly focused on the theme of "Agriculture as a Sustainable Bioeconomy."  Participants discussed issues related to enhancing food security, improving supply chains, and adapting to climate change.

According to representatives of the MoA of Tajikistan, participation in IGW 2025 opens up new opportunities for exporting products and attracting investments in the country’s agro-industrial sector.  National companies have established connections with international partners, contributing to Tajikistan’s integration into the global market for environmentally friendly products.

The Grüne Woche Green Week) is one of Germany's most traditional trade fairs and one of the world's leading events in the food, agriculture and horticulture sectors.  Since its foundation in Berlin in the Golden Twenties in 1926, the Grüne Woche has developed into an international event that attracts exhibitors and visitors from all over the world.  The trade fair provides a stage for current social issues such as climate protection, the circular economy, resource conservation and sustainable land use.

The trade fair is also the venue for the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) organized by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL).  The GFFA is the leading international conference on key issues for the future of the global agriculture and food industry. The highlight is the meeting of over 70 agriculture ministers.
