From March 15 to 21, Tajikistan will host the Navrouz Youth World Festival, bringing together young leaders, entrepreneurs, and activists from 30 countries, according to the Committee for Youth and Sports (CYS) under the Government of Tajikistan.

The event, dedicated to celebrating Navrouz, aims to strengthen friendship and cooperation among youth, discuss key issues of sustainable development, and encourage youth participation in global processes.  Additionally, the festival will promote the culture and traditions of Navrouz.

 

Festival program

March 15 – Delegations arrive in Dushanbe.

March 16 – Participants will take part in a tree-planting campaign in Victory Park, followed by a visit to the National Library for a plenary session on "Navrouz as a Symbol of Renewal and Harmony with Nature".

Panel discussions will focus on youth engagement, glacier conservation, and startups.

March 17 – Delegations will travel to Panjakent for a city tour and a traditional wrestling (gushtegiri) event, followed by Navrouz celebrations in Istaravshan.

March 18 – In Istaravshan, participants will enjoy cultural programs before heading to Khujand for further festival activities.

March 19 – Khujand will host a Youth Forum of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan on "Cooperation for Sustainable Development", followed by a gala concert and the festival’s closing ceremony.

March 20 – Transfer back to Dushanbe.

March 21 – A farewell breakfast and departure of delegations.

The festival is set to highlight cultural heritage, foster youth collaboration, and encourage discussions on pressing global challenges.
