Moscow expects more than 20 heads of state and government as guests at the Victory Day Parade on May 9 in Moscow, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, as reported by Interfax.

“It can already be said that we expect more than 20 heads of state and government who will celebrate this holiday together with President Putin,” Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.

He emphasized that Moscow will be happy to welcome everyone who is ready to celebrate this "grand date" with the Russians.

At the May 9 parade, one leader from the European Union will be present—Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico—and the leader of an EU candidate country, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

Also planning to attend the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow are Chinese President Xi Jinping, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, and others.
